  1. Hi Ros, don't worry about the late reply, as I understand how life takes you and shakes you without your consent!

We are still in Martinborough, but inside a beeg building while the dreaded rust gets a seeing to. It is pretty dark in the bus, but hey - internet still somehow gets through the metal walls, so while He is outside doing nasty bogging and sanding, She is in the bus, pouring over the interwebs and making the odd cup of coffee and bikkies for the boys. But it is great to be getting it done and the guy who owns the shed owes David a favour, so is letting him do the work and not charging for anything but the final paint job. We are lucky.

After this, we'll do a slow trickle up the N.I. to Taupo and stay with some rellies for a bit. Then there's a wedding in Te Aroha late September and after that....well, I'm not saying, because every time I do say it, it doesn't happen, but think "jump Cook Strait"

Have you been doing any photography lately?

Apologies for only responding now! :-) Was away in Perth, then back to S I and not always good internet. Ashburton for a while, and arrived back on NI Tuesday as house sitting for bro in law in Auckland as from end of July for 6 weeks. Tonite at Cape Edmont Boat Club, good spot, good views. Not sure if we will stay at Fitzroy New Plymouth or Waitera other side of NP., 'till we go to Auckl. This was nt our plans for the summer, but hey, plans change in blink of an eye eh, and being flexable, we-ell, does nt matter. Thx for the info re motor home forum, will pass onto Trevor he is the one for that, oh has just told me he is on that one, hmmmmm just goes to show how we all do our own little thingee LOL Plus Oz and the UK forums!!!
    Where r u guys now?
  3. Yikes! Just realised yesterday that our COF is more than a month overdue! That's what happens when you park up for too long in one place, I guess.
By the way, are you guys in the motorhome forum? The independant one, not the NZMCA. Here's a link, in case you are interested.

There are quite a good bunch in there. I don't go on it much any more as the photography has me firmly by the neck, but my other half does from time to time.

I remember Alexandra from childhood as well. Hot as hell, but it was summer. Are you getting any good pix?
    cheers,
    A

Hi Alison, arrived in Alexandra yesterday POP power and water, dump, showers toilets. Quite good at $10 p day. Cheers R
  5. No idea really, as the last time I was in the area (apart from quick drive-throughs) was when I was 13. We will just womble on until we come to a place we like that doesn't do my budget head in. Motueka will definitely be a stop though, as we have a friend there. Also Takaka and Blenhiem (friends)
We certainly won't be rushing the South Island tour and will probably be there for a couple of years.
Do you guys have a definite time frame for your caravanning, or is it as open ended as ours? lol.
And yes - I do have a real name, but kinda forgot to include it last time.
    cheers, Alison.

My choice to live - Wellington - reminds me of Cape Town wind and all! My husband is from Wellington but there is/was no ways I could persuade him to return there to live. We over wintered at Camp Bethany - Kaiteri - from July to end Sept. Their rates have gone up considerably this year........If we go that way for a winter again it will be in the camp at Motueka- good little place. Any idea where you will want to stay in the Tasman area?
You got a real name? LOL!
  7. Hi Rosaleen,
Yep, we've been living in our bus for over 2 1/2 years now. Mostly around the Wellington area as we have 2 young grandkids that we wanted to get to know for a bit.
Hoping to head off down South by the end of May. Will probably winter over in the Tasman area. Can't wait.........
