    2. Alfred at the wheel heading north at sunrise.

    3. Morning coffee stop.

    4. At the lights.

    5. Helping swap out a flat tyre at the Botswanan border.

    6. Made it to Khama Rhino Sanctuary at 4pm and jumped in the 4WD's for some Rhino spotting. First animal snapped was this warthog though.

    7. Wildebeest.

    8. Some Impala in the bush.

    9. With the light starting to fade, we finally spotted some Rhino, and a couple of ostriches.

    10. Having a drink. Unfortunately it was overcast, but was still great to see these big creatures up close.

    11. One of the males having a strut.

    12. Another male.

    13. Only about 10 metres away for this shot.

    14. And even closer in this one.

    15. With the fading light, we spotted a jackal as we were heading back.

    16. And spotted some Zebra heading off in the distance.

    17. And some more Impala.

    18. The sun now well below the horizon.

    19. And back to the campsite for a good feed from Chef-de-cuisine, Alfred.

    Cheers, Shane.

We were off on at the road at dawn for our next destination, although we got to see some more Rhino later on.

Was an amazing trip, travelling with 17 other great people to 4 countries over 15 days, driving 4,512k's, experience of a lifetime!

    Just a couple more photo's:

Thanks, Lia. Yep, the night at Khama was probably our coldest, had to make sure the sleeping bag was fully zipped up.

Great set Dan, pity they were all just plodding around, sure are weird beasts up close. That trip would be my idea of a nightmare I'm afraid, I like my own bed and toilet too much.
But now I see why you go on these excursions, the fellow seekers are all women!

The light on the driver is very nice and I like the closup, #14 the most.

Thanks, Jos. #14 was my favourite too, definitely one of the ones I'm going to get printed.

The camping is pretty good, dry season so no rain and little wind, and not too cold either. First time sleeping in a real bed last night after 14 days and actually felt a bit strange.

Great group of people from Germany, Canada, Norway, USA, Aussie, Malaysia, Ireland and 7 of us from NZ.

Yes, they're certainly well traveled, 16 countries so far this year.

And it's still only August. I love the way you carefully pick out complimentary T shirts to wear with them.

What an amazing looking trip! I see you have wear jackets at night. Wouldn't have thought it was that cold! Agree with Shane the bts shots makes the story.

Thanks, Clarence. I was still wearing my shorts and sandals so wasn't too cool, not for a Kiwi anyway.

Just the stuff I lugged around for 2 weeks, enough gear for Africa!
