I'm new to these forums and I was going to reply and say something about Windows vs Mac after being a Windows user up until 4 months ago (I'm 35) ... not much point saying anything after reading all that everyone's said so far other than I wish I'd switched earlier.

For what it's worth Lightroom is 64-bit on OS X ... if you know how to use Google well enough to find out how.
