I went down to Lake Top Secret today - stunning spot, though the weather was a bit crap, so didn't get any particularly special pics.

Took a drive out to Chinaman's Bluff too.

Will be back to both places when the sun's out and no NW gales

Those gales should have done some interesting stuff to the cloud up that way.

The cloud was just low and snowing on the tops, so not a lot too see in terms of mountains.

The forest on the way in is a stunner though. Unfortunately I spent most of my time carrying two kids + wife with knackered shoes on over lots of patches of knee deep mud, so not a lot of time for taking pics.

But I'm just about to take the family out and upgrade them to decent tramping boots, and get back there when the weather's nicer
