    The go pro cameras are great. ALot of friends use them on their race cars. One of them owns Go Pro NZ. Can highly recommend the HD one, will see if I can get my hands on some footage from the weekend.
    Spot the gopro in this shot, Im about to create a thread in the sports section covering my weekend.

    The racing video is fantastic.

    I think the difference to trying to do video of surfing is that the car stays level relative to the track.

    It's hard to describe what I mean

    Thanks for the responses, I would still like to see some stills and everyone wants to see mrfinster on his surfboard. i think I will be saving my pennies and buying on.

    I just got the HD version and did a blog on it on my photovan site .
    I have some sample images there and a 100% crop along with a place where you can download a 5 second HD video clip if interested .

    Just been having a look at various options for mounting a camera to a helmet, as ski season is now only a month away.

    Thought this looked particularly interesting

    How would you trigger it?
    Nikon D80, Nikon 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G, Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6, Nikon 35mm f/1.8G, Tamron 90mm f/2.8 macro, Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 older screw-type, Nikon 70-300VR f/4.5-5.6G. Various filters and grads, elderly Velbon tripod (finger biter).

    That'll be for video I suspect, hit start, put helmet on heed.
