I bought a gopro HD and a couple of packs of mounts yesterday. Stuck it on the front of the car today and got some video of the drive from burkes pass to tekapo - great quality footage. Can't post it yet due to being on twizel Internet speeds.

I've sorted out a helmet mount and after chopping up my watch strap have managed to get the seat post mount around the leg of my monopod to make a pole cam. I can also get the suction cup mount to stick to my snowboard, so heading up to ohau in the morning to hit the slopes and try it out.

So far very impressed with the quality but it looks stupid mounted to a helmet. It's also got a heated battery compartment which is a great idea for winter use.

Here's a quick clip from my new toy. I'm on a slow connection until the weekend, so will post some more in a few days time.

Awesome fun. This is Mrs Finster and me, with the camera mounted to the end of a monopod. Should be viewable in HD if you click through to youtube.

Now I've got motion sickness from watching that !
It's interesting how having it on a pole makes it look like the pole is perfectly stable
