The first sidecar photo, one of the riders looks like he's looking straight at you. I've watched these guys at Pukekohe, they're just "mental" the way they throw themselves round a couple of inches from the track

Will you be going down there next month when the Superbike Nationals are on?

My nephews racing so will be staying in one of the apartments, can't wait. Who would have thought I'd enjoy the racing so much, must be a closet petrol-head

Nationals are on the last weekend in March, 27th and 28th. It's the final round (being round 5), with prize giving afterwards. Not sure if prize giving will be at Hampton Downs or whether it'll be back at Pukekohe, the last I heard they still hadn't decided.

Get yourself a fluro vest and stare them down
The sidecar shots are taken at the downhill hairpin, which is where you get quite close; probably see you there.
Of course the best by far is Paeroa this sunday. Not only the background of shops and buildings, but the array of people and characters on display.....they all come out for this day!

You need to drop your shutterspeed a bit more in order to catch the movement (see#5) the background should be blured.
The shutter speed looks about right on #1 as you cant see the tire tread as its a blur

#3 is a top shot

#4 is my favourite. Somehow seeing the whites of both riders' eyes gives the photo that little bit extra
