Genuine question - why? If you filter on/in-camera you can't easily remove the effect later (although I do use Cokin Pro filters quite often - they're good enough to be worth the risk in my opinion).

Plus, Lightroom has a fantastic graduated filter effect that you can apply during post.

Because no matter what you do in lightroom you cant slow the shutter down. :P
