I did have a smashing time thanks - and the tripod came out once here at Curio Bay - we watched a pod of dolphins out here from where we stayed, for over an hour.
Most of my photos are garbage. Not only do I have a faulty camera - I think the tripod is a dud as well.
Not making any excuses of course !

The wildlife was a bit evasive too. I saw one sea lion. It was raining so heavily my other half sat in the car while I went through some bushes to a beach and there was one lolloping into the sea right in front of me ! An enormous thing. By the time I unzipped my jacket and fished out the camera it was gone. I stood there like a pillock for another 10 minutes waiting but it never came out again.
That is my story of the one that got away!
My stuff - Canon 450D (struggling with it) Panasonic FZ28 (love it) Pocket rockets - Kodak V550, Canon PS A580. PSP8, PS6.

You would need to have a phd in fish breath overweight mammals to be able to tell the difference between wirehunt and a sea lion.

The reason the lion was bolting? Fin was in the tussock 'waxing his board' It couldn't handle the smell any longer

great you had a smashing time Lyn.

the photos you took are probably better than you think. and tripods are over-rated
