    Thanks for that !
The entrepreneur in me might persuade me to buy every good deal on 645 lenses on Ebay and sell them at a huge profit in a years time. Might then be able to afford one.
Not sure if I want to take the risk.

And there is this little nugget to consider:

Ok you can stitch, if you manage to get the shots lined up, if the subject doesnt move, if the light doesnt change, etc ,etc.

The 645D is realy for people who make money off their photography and cant or wont spend the time working round tools limits.

I've only seen a few relativly low resolution shots from the 645D as yet but they look stunning. Full rez S2 shots I've seen look amazing, and all I've seen wouldnt suit stitching either.

Ever wonder what would happen if you stitched those 645D shots...?
    ^^ what he said ^^

Of course, I would have thought that pretty obvious. Even a 10mp APS-C camera has been used to make 3m high posters displayed in the streets (Benjamin Kanerak), but the 645D ones would be better quality (as in sharpness etc.) for sure.

There's been a few on TM recently too. The digital 645 will be quite desirable for those still with those old lenses I believe. Not much good for sport though, so I think I'll pass on a K-7 upgrade.

Think that APS-C sensors are best for action as shutter speeds are much higher for any given DOF.
I think FF or a medium format is ideal for landscape and studio. Really stiching is a good tool but is quite a niche application. Can be very hit and miss - I can get vey odd horizons and notches and sometimes seams and ghosting artefacts that are impossible to re do. For those with much patience it can be great but for most people a compromise of full frame seems more than adequate as prices have really fallen.
One tries and rationionalise the reasons for NOT upgrading sometimes !!
