Screen Calibrators

Hmmm my photography tutor said- I should calibrate my screen-

truth is I know I should, but have been putting it off- anyone got any advice on the following- "spyder" vs "hughie" vs "color munki"
and- can one be hired?

he he who wants to hire me one?

may be short term fix- until my money tree grows more leaves........

I use DVE (Digital Video Essentials) and seems to do an OK job.

How is that supposed to work, do you play the disc & then make adjustments according to your eye?? May as well just download & use the adobe gama component part of photo-shop.

Do you have any of your stuff printed Jack? If so, how did they come out?

Yeah, just according to my eyes. And fair cop about the Adobe download.

Only ever had one printed and that's a BW affair that came out sweet as, it's now part of the NZFM Auckland Exhibition at kinder House if you would like to check it out and is for sale at a messily $300 should you feel flush

Well, your under valuing yourself again Jack! With the proceeds, you could procure a screen calibrator.

Just to clarify, what is NZFM Auckland Exhibition and where is Kinder House??

I;d strongly recomend a proper screen calibration device even if you dont print, a photo shop may rent one.

mmmm- not the one I work at

hey maybe I can convince the boss we NEED one!
Id have to say its for the pc's cos the NORITSU has its calibrator built in.
could be a plan...........
