I had some success with a flatbed scanner (pumped up to maximum res which I think was 2400dpi) a while back...now, just have to find all my old negatives...been a LONG time since I shot film...

    Oh, and...

The bastard's are still at it...

I've used the flatbed scanner for old photographs but never for negatives . This is another french one. A Paris skyline view from the Notre Dame Cathedral , circa 1981

Nice shots, well done. It is interesting to see that all the shots show the correct trigger finger position for non action, extended straight and not on the trigger. Either good troop training or good selection of shots.

Give an Artist a box of different sized colour blocks and he will create an art work; give me the same box and I will sort it by colour and then size :)

Think it's pretty drilled into them, those guns are the real deal even if they weren't carrying ammo. Normally so stuff with the reserve and they don't seem to have any problems doing it, and most of the guys in these photos are regular forces. (Had to delete roughly 1/3 of my photos are there was a couple SAS there, and some RF that didn't want to be photographed)

Don't get many cool OP's down this way, see lots of cool stuff in Canterbury and the north in Army News magazine.
