Nice dan, it's a great little lake. Years ago we used to ski there and always found some glass water. There was a small waterfall up a stream from a beach along the left side that you could just get behind the water flow, very cool!

Some wood shavings from my house fixing efforts over the weekend

Like the pool hall shots, classic for the black and white!

And over Auckland as you may be, that's a real nice take on the place!

Mates were in Ohope for the weekend so I got a different take on the beach as one of the girls jumped down of the dune face

Cool shot, Jos. The dunes look like they've taken a bit of a battering from the sea, there'll be no ocean beach road by Xmas!

The next day they got told off for messing with the edge and wrecking the dunes (nicely but firmly apparently).

Spotted this shag on the way to work on Monday with this quite large eel in it's beak. After several dives and struggling to keep it under control the shag finally managed to get it down. The eel was far from dead or even stunned, as I watched I could see it still struggling mightily in the shag's neck. I wonder how that would feel, not pleasant at all I imagine, specially if the eel could still bite with it is head down in the shag's stomach...

A true work of art, Jos!

My friend took this pic the other day of sunrise at Canary Wharf with his cellphone (although I spruced it up a bit in PS).
