Not so easy getting pics of the WRC boys, only have a few seconds each car and always lots of people to get in the way.

I like the look of #2.
When they had the world champs around Raglan a friend let me park my van on his farm - got some nice shots from there![]()

Do you have some interesting crowd shots?

I wasn't anywhere near crowds when I took pictures last time and the locals I think were just put off by having their road closed up
I set up my van on the side of the road including a platform on the roof for my chair
In some places I was on the shade side so I set up the D50 with flash
A walk up the hill and there's a jump shot
There were a handful of people standing around in some spots but otherwise it was one of those places where you are 'locked in' for the day .

Great images. I have one I would like to post but am having difficulty finding the instructions on how to do this.
Is there a very kind person out there that can set me on the right track.

I think this should help:

Cool motion blur, Brett, #5 is my favourite.
You must have been nervous about the car making a safe landing (and avoiding a collision with you) in the second one, Desmond!

Awesome set of images Brett. 2 and 4 are money shots for sure, but I love them all. Great colour and panning. Really shows the speed. I just got back from this myself, drove up from Wellington - will start a thread shortly too.
Desmond - looks like a great set-up. Whats with the guy on the track, I wouldn't take my chances... Reminds me a bit of the shots that used to come out of Europe of the sea of photogs parting before the cars.
