Wow, great shots! Love the shallow DOF; 22 is a clear favourite of mine. Well done

Nice, you have changed picture style or processing now? These look like they have a lot more pop.

Hell yes Dan, these are great, you seem to be able to pull good expressions out of your subjects! Other than the 'little guy', he looks like he'll be trouble one day.

Cheers, smix. Was alot of fun to have a play with the primes and go crazy with the bokeh.

Thanks, Rob. Yep, I just upped the 'vibrancy', tweaked the saturation a little (+2-3), and bumped up the temperature in a few of them.

Thanks, Raymond. Was a great place to just walk around, absorb the atmosphere and take in the sights, smells and sounds.

Cheers, Jos. I think they were quite bemused when a smiling 'farang' comes up to them, says hello and asks to take their photo. The little guy in #23 was quite a character, he started pulling faces after I tooka few frames.

Cheers, Lia. #10 is just at the night markets, great place to just look all the food for sale and all the interesting smells and tastes. The coffeehouse was an old place in Chinatown with some old gents enjoying the end of the day. Was hesitant to disturb them, but they were generous to let me capture them.

Thanks, Jdr. I just smile, say hello, and politely ask if its ok to take their photograph. I also gesture with the camera in case they don't understand my english. The people are very friendly, and only a couple of times people were reluctant and said no.
The guy in #19 was quite a character, he was pushing a wheelbarrow along but couldn't resist asking to take his portrait.

Brilliant, however #22 is my favorite! I love the expression. Great set.

Great stuff Dan. The ones at night (e.g.#10) stand out for me but lots of good stuff.

Thanks, Adam. Yep, the night shots are where the primes really 'earn their keep'.

Great set as usual Dan! Agree with Rob these have more pop than usual. Nice use of shallow DOF overall. Although I think you should try a deeper DOF on some of the shots where the surrounding people are connecting with the main subject or with you, e.g., 5, 14, 17, 19, 25.
    Lighten up!
    I shoot with Canon EOS 500 & 6D, EFS17-55 f2.8, EF35L f1.4, EF135L f2, Speedlites 580EX II & 430EX II.

Thanks, Clarence. Still getting over the super shallow DOF since going FF, so hard to resist cranking open the aperture!
